Valery Taylor, PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

With over ten years of experience in high-acuity critical care,I bring a unique perspective to psychiatric mental health . My background in ICUs across America gives me a deep understanding of the connection between the brain and the body, and shapes the holistic approach I take with every patient.

I see patients ages 15 and up, and I especially love working with older adults and with moms who feel overwhelmed by the demands of motherhood. My clinical focus is mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. I offer medication management and/or TMS. I can see Swiss-German-speaking patients in their native language.

I believe mental wellness is the foundation of a healthy life and is best supported when we care for the mind, body, and lifestyle together. Your story matters, and my approach is built on active listening and collaboration.

Outside of work, you can find me at the playground with my kids or hunting down the best local coffee shops.

Jackiee Plange

Nurse and TMS Technician

Jackiee is our TMS technician and a nurse with her BSN.

She meets every patient with an open heart and an open mind. Her warmth, patience, and steady encouragement help carry people through what can feel like an intimidating course of treatment.

There is a kindness to how she does this work that you cannot teach in any nursing program; it is just who she is. Patients often tell us that Jackiee is part of why they look forward to walking through the door, and we feel the same way about having her on the team.

Outside of the office, Jackie is a professional cake artist, designing custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, and special occasions throughout the area. That same creativity shows up in everything she does at Brainbody, from the artistry of her cake work to the small thoughtful ways she makes the TMS suite feel a little warmer for every person who sits in the chair. Our team and our patients are both lucky to have her on this side of care.

Amy McCausland, LCPC

Group Leader and Intake Coordinator

Amy is our TMS Intake Coordinator and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). She is usually the first person you will speak with when you reach out about TMS, and her clinical background paired with her warm, steady manner makes those early conversations far less intimidating.

Amy walks new patients through what to expect, helps with insurance and scheduling, and leads our monthly TMS group where current and graduating patients connect with one another.

Outside of work she is a classically trained musician (violin and harp), a busy mom of four, and the person most likely to talk you into trying her favorite Chicago coffee shop.
